This is the second waterbed I have owned. First the bad. It is not a waveless bed at all and you are going to feel a lot of the motion from your partner. Thats about it as far as bad goes with it. The lumbar support has helped a ton with the hip pain I was getting from my last waterbed and that is worth its weight in gold. I get out of bed with absolutely no pain now which is quite a change and I haven’t gotten any holes in it yet which is surprising because our cat likes to claw these so it must be made of fairly decent quality materials. Great part is the price point, didn’t have to break the bank and got a great sleeping experience.

My husband and I are in our 40’s and have had a regular waterbed bladder for years. When it popped, decided to give this semi-waveless one a try.
It didn’t seem like the foam was very thick, but I think it expands inside when you fill the bed.
There is a WORLD of difference between this new bed and our old one. Of course it still feels very much like a waterbed, and has waves. But they feel muted, and have much less ‘comeback’ waves. Its going to take some getting used to, but I like it!
– side note, I had forgotten about the new waterbed smell! Vinyl makes me ill as it off-gasses, which lasts for about a week. I really should have let it sit after I opened it to air out before I set it up, But it’s not about deal if your not chemical sensitive.
